A woman at an ATM didn’t know if a man running towards her had a gun, but she didn’t stick around to find out.
An officer was dispatched to the woman’s home at 11 p.m. on March 9 to take a report into what police are calling a suspicious situation. The Southgate resident told the officer the incident happened around 10:30 p.m. at Huntington Bank, 16350 Fort St.
It started after she pulled into the parking lot to use the drive-thru ATM and another vehicle drove in immediately after her, parking several feet behind and to the right of where she had parked. parked.
She looked in her rearview mirror and noticed a man, dressed in dark clothing, running towards her vehicle, holding something in his hands, close to his face. The woman said she didn’t know if it was a gun, but she was sure the man had something in his hands.
She immediately put her vehicle in gear and sped out of the parking lot. She added that the vehicle the man was in had also left the scene.
The woman told the officer she believed the man had exited the front passenger side of the vehicle, but she was not sure.
