The chilling discovery was posted on the popular Weirdly Creepy Reddit thread and was overwhelmed with responses from concerned users.
The original post read: “I bought a house a month ago, I was cleaning out the garage when I found this in a plastic bag.”
Many were quick to suggest the bones could be the remains of a murder victim and should be presented to police.
One terrified user wrote: “You might want to check with the authorities on this.”

While a second wrote: ‘I mean you called the cops didn’t you?
Meanwhile, others have pointed out that the skull, thought to be human, was likely used as a teaching aid in fields such as phrenology, craniology and archaeology.
One suggested, “Contact your local college’s anthropology department; they would be able to identify it and possibly add it to a collection of skeletons where the deceased would be treated with the utmost respect.
Another, claiming to be a student, wrote: “This definitely looks like a real skull. I have a disarticulated skeleton from my anatomy studies, and while it’s a good set, it has no pitting and the teeth don’t come out like this.
However, among calls to donate it, some users even suggested KEEPING the skull as a decoration – despite the uncertainty about its origin.
“This should go in the best place above the fireplace,” one suggested as another user replied, “Or even on the kitchen table.”
A third concluded: “I would totally add this to my skull collection.”
