Sterling Bank partners with LASRRA to relaunch LAG ID – The Sun Nigeria

Sterling Bank Plc is working with the Lagos State Resident Registration Agency (LASRRA) as the pioneer partner for the first three million issues of the new Lagos State Resident Identity Card ( LAG identity card).
Speaking at the launch of the GAL ID Card, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu noted that the relaunch was particularly significant as it demonstrates the administration’s commitment to the Smart vision. City.
According to him, the Smart City vision aims to integrate and integrate advanced technology into the daily lives of citizens and their daily interaction with government and public services. Sterling Bank Managing Director, Abubakar Suleiman, who attended the event, revealed that the history of partnership with the bank and the Lagos State Government, environment and sustainability collaborations with LAWMA ; transportation through FarePay for contactless payments on the state transit system. Also speaking at the ceremony, which was held simultaneously across five divisions of the state, LASRRA Director General Ibilola Kasunmu said the new ID card is embedded with features and functionality that offer cardholders wider access to faster and better Lagos State Government services.
“The new LAG ID card is a multi-application smart card that provides registered residents with access to services ranging from personal security and identity verification to access points to various government services to apply for loans from the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF).
A cardholder can also use it as payment for services from several providers, including Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and Lag Ferry, as well as cash withdrawals at any bank and ATM. (GAB),” she said.
