Small utility vehicles distributed among the beneficiaries under “Mumkin”

Earlier, the SDC visited Hakura and inaugurated an automatic teller machine (ATM) in the presence of LDM.

At Shopian: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today distributed small utility vehicles subsidized to two young beneficiaries of the district in the presence of the ADC, the CPO, the AO, the person in charge of the Shopian District Bank, Leyland Representative and other relevant staff officials from the Arhama Mini Secretariat, here.

He said these mini commercial vehicles will allow our young people between the ages of 18 and 35 to help grow the neighborhood.

Deputy Director of Employment Abdul Majid Tantray informed DC that up to 47 applications have been received out of the 29 cases that were approved by the committee.

In Kulgam: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kulgam, Riyaz Ahmad Sofi and Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Showkat Ahmad instead today handed over small commercial vehicles to 14 beneficiaries in the district under the ‘Mumkin program ‘during a distribution ceremony held here at the premises of the Kulgam Job Exchange.

In Bandipora: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, DrOwais Ahmad, on Tuesday handed over commercial vehicles to beneficiaries as part of the “Personalized Livelihood Generation Scheme – Mumkin – New Opportunities”.

Applicants were previously approved for the program by the district-level implementation committee headed by the deputy commissioner. The successful candidates received the vehicles during a reception organized at the Mini-Secretariat of Bandipora. The vehicles included Ashok Leyland Dost having an on-road price of Rs 7.76 Lac approx and Mahindra Bolero Max Truck costing around 7.88 Lac.

Applicants received a 10 percent grant each from the vehicle manufacturing company and Mission Youth, or 20 percent of the cost of the vehicle, in addition to a hassle-free loan for the rest of the J&K Bank. . The selected candidates do not have to give any guarantee or any margin to the bank for the purchase of a loaned vehicle.

ARTO Bandipora, SuhaibWani, Deputy Director of Employment ShabnumArif, Career Guidance Officer and Employment Officer as well as other senior district officers were present on the occasion.
