Senior hit with a glass bottle using an ATM in San Francisco

A San Francisco senior was attacked with a glass bottle while using an automated teller machine (ATM) at Union Bank in Laurel Village on Monday.
Identified only by his first name Marc, the 84-year-old man was reported by ABC7 hearing someone shout at him, “Give me some money!” Give me your money! Give me money!”
The victim then gestures to the black bag on his waist to stay safe and shows how he moved to get money for the man. But the man attacked him with a glass bottle twice before he could even fetch the money.
ABC7 obtained a photo showing a smashed green Pellegrino bottle on the ground, as one witness shared.
The victim’s child, Ana, said: “Deep inside me, even though my heart is heavy, there are angels on Earth, including the officer and the passer-by who came to my father’s rescue. . “
âThey called the paramedics and made sure my dad was okay,â she added.
Marc had bruises and swelling on his face.

Fortunately, he is immune to any serious head and shoulder injuries, but Ana said doctors believe her father damaged his sinuses as a result of the incident.
ABC7 visited the victim a day after the attack. Marc recognized the people who helped him at the scene of the attack, as well as his family who showed their love as he went through the challenges.
âAll these people, these people, these fine people. They don’t leave me until I go to the hospital⦠I am blessed. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart on behalf of my family. I would like to know each of you, âhe said.
On Tuesday, the ATM where the attack occurred was already guarded by security personnel.
