JMMB upgrades ATMs for better customer service
News day reporter
JMMB Bank has announced the rollout of its smart Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) across its four locations over the coming weeks.
The bank said in a statement that, in line with its digital orientation, its new and improved ATMs were installed, starting with the Chaguanas promenade on February 19.
The ATMs will provide customers with added convenience and an improved customer experience, allowing customers to have real-time updates on their accounts and immediate access to deposited cash, in addition to performing faster transactions using the bank’s Visa debit card feature.
Customers will also benefit from increased cash and check deposit capacity, within regulatory limits, as the new machines can accommodate more banknotes deposited at one time. Thus, customers can choose to make large deposits through the ATM rather than at the branch, which saves them time.
Jerome Smalling, Interim CEO, said, “We are delighted to continue to deliver on our promise to provide value-added service and to continually improve our customer experience, by delivering increased functionality through our new ATMs. smart.
“This move will allow more banking services to be within reach of customers, based on their ever-changing needs, in this ‘new normal’ environment and beyond.”
Smalling shared that rolling out the ATM suite will also improve the bank’s back-office processing and verification process, as well as its overall efficiency. »
In preparation for this rollout, some ATMs will be temporarily out of service or offer limited services to facilitate the installation of smart ATMs.
“We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience caused during the rollout of this new fleet of smart ATMs, and implore them to continue to be patient during this time as we seek to improve their experience,” said said Gifford Rankine, Managing Director, Digital Services at JMMB Group.

“In addition, JMMB Bank customers can use our online platform, JMMB Moneyline, to perform certain transactions such as balance inquiries.”

This upgrade to the bank’s ATMs follows the rollout of JMMB Bank Visa debit cards and JMMB Moneyline online registration over the past year to provide customers with greater access and convenience.
Rankine continued: “The JMMB Group’s overall digital strategy responds to the demand for more digital options, the growing popularity of alternative service delivery channels and wider access to the Internet, via affordable data plans and WiFi”.
The JMMB executive also pointed out that “in this new fiscal year, customers will see even more innovation and digitization in our processes, providing customers with added value, supported by JMMB’s unique customer experience, which has their best interests at heart.”
“We look forward to introducing online account opening, after regulatory approval, so customers can do more business with JMMB digitally first.”
