2014 Winner: Arbor Brewing Company
Big Leap Award: A business that "took the leap" and successfully created a new idea, model, or solution despite all the risks.
2014 Winner: Russian Ballet Theatre School
Hidden Gem Award: This is a great business that is often overlooked and that more people should know about.
2014 Winner: By the Pound
Community Care Award: This non-profit stands out for the clarity of its mission, the dedication of its volunteers, and its long-term impact on the citizens at large.

The 3rd annual Indie Awards will be awarded on June 30 from 7-10pm. This year's event will be held at Top of the Park, as part of the Ann Arbor Summer Festival. The Indie Awards recognize excellence in the local, independent business and nonprofit communities. Nominations will be narrowed to a group of finalists by the Think Local First board of directors. Winners will be determined by a group of judges made up of Washtenaw County citizen, business, nonprofit, and government leaders. The Indie Awards are a collaboration between Think Local First and The Ann Magazine
