The defendants, identified as Kundan Kumar (22) and Papu (22), both residents of Muzaffarpur in Bihar and minors, told police they committed the offense after being inspired by a video they had seen on YouTube.
They were convicted under sections 457, 380, 511 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
To provide details, DCP Sameer Sharma said that information was received by phone at Nangloi police station from Axis Bank headquarters on the night of March 1-2 at around 2 a.m. that people suspects had entered the ATM of Axis Bank located at Rajdhani Park, Nangloi and her activities appear suspicious.
Acting on the information, the Nangloi Police Station immediately informed the highway patrol personnel of the incident, after which they reached the said location within 2-3 minutes and grabbed the three accused on the spot.
