Our Beginnings
On the summer solstice in 1987, two Queen Ann Houses made the journey from 410 and 416 South Main to their new location at 2345 South Huron Parkway. The two houses became one: a new medical center that supports complimentary, holistic health care. This was a natural location for an expanded Castle Remedies, a business which had originally grown out of a need for homeopathic medicines, nutritional and herbal supplements, and well informed people who could guide the public to reliable sources of information about their self-care.
 
Our Friendly, Caring and Knowledgeable Staff  
We are proud of our supportive staff here at Castle Remedies. We hire only people who are highly motivated to help the public become more proactive concerning their health. Although we are not health care practitioners and we do not prescribe, we see ourselves as conduits for communication between practitioners and patients, enabling them to make well-informed choices. We stay on top of the latest testing in regards to efficacy of alternative medicines and refer our clients to useful and reliable sources of the most current information. Our staff cares about people, and they are willing to spend the time necessary to help out. You will find the store to be lively and filled with good humor.  

Our Best Kept Secrets
Taking good care of one's health can be financially costly, and we do our best to keep things affordable. All of us over the age of 60 are eligible for an ongoing 10% discount, and we have a frequent buyer program for all of our customers.

We have heard it said more than once that Castle Remedies' great gifts and jewelry are the best kept secrets in town.  We support several local artisans, and always look forward to their newest work. We like to have gifts that are hand-picked and affordable.
